In science we set up our lifeboats experiment. We set up our control groups and found that about 17-20 pennies were needed to sink a 3 cm. tall paper cup boat. Tomorrow we will look at what height does to change the outcome of the experiment (one variable changing- controlled experiment).
Math's focus today was on expanded notation. We looked at both fractional and decimal versions of expanding standard form. Check out this video for more basic understanding and homework help.

We then used a mentor text to inspire ideas in our writing. Tomorrow we will pick the story that we really feel connected to and begin writing "inside" of it.
In RELA we continued Wonder and also chatted with our book clubs for the first time.
