We continued to get to know the class with two truths and a lie, then dove into getting to know ourselves as learners by taking a multiple intelligence survey. A vast majority of us are natural/nature learners- a first year for that, but totally cool! Take a look at our class' representation of themselves as learners.
Later in the afternoon, we learned the procedures for reviewing morning work. Students then took part in writing a letter to themselves. This letter will be given back to them at the end of the year and they can see how much they have changed in one full year of school. We ended the day with 25 book goal expectation talk, and began reading our first read aloud- Blackwater. We will look to analyze the characters of this story as we continue to read tomorrow.
All in all, a superb 2nd day of school. Lets keep this excellence rolling throughout the week.
