In math we looked at connecting place value chart movement to moving within the metric system. Tough stuff! We will revisit this later in the year. Students took their Module 1, Topic 1 quiz which will be coming home on Monday.
In writing we took our first vocabulary test (which took much longer than anticipated). These will be coming home next Monday. We then jumped right into KidBiz3000 (you can find this on my website in the "Khan Academy, Study Island..." area. We will use this throughout the year in class and as homework to help students learn to read increasingly complex informational texts. Some students did not finish their level set and will do so on Monday.
