This morning we took our "graph" PWYK. 75% at proficient or advanced. My goal is 80% but 100% at proficient or advanced is do-able... This percentage needs to rise! To those of you who are constantly studying and working hard towards your goal; excellent keep it up!
In social studies we wrote intros to our Native American adaptation essays. This took quite a long time and extended into math. Overall great work and introduction to informative writing.
Math focused on reviewing comparing and ordering fractions.
In the afternoon we worked on our personal narratives a bit longer and then reviewed our reading tests from last week. Group leaders did a fantastic job of explaining how to answer each of the questions and I heard students asking excellent questions to clear up their original misconceptions.
To wrap up today, we worked in partnerships and independently to identify cause and effect / compare and contrast structures in a reading on tsunamis, hurricanes, and coastal pollution.
