Thursday Sept. 4, 2014

Nick lead us in our first true morning meeting and did a fantastic job relating to the Character Counts wall.  Going out west this summer sounded like a blast!

In science we discussed the expectations for upcoming labs.  Tomorrow, those expectations come into play and lets hope our ever so bizarre specimens make it safely through the lesson!

Today began our first math lesson.  We focused on factors, products and touched a little bit on arrays.  Below are some videos to help with your homework:

This afternoon, students finished drafting, revising, and editing their "important paragraphs."  Tonight these will need to be finished if they were not finished in class.  Additionally, multiple intelligence people are almost designed and ready to be hung in our community area.

In reading we began (one paragraph in...) our first read aloud of the year- Sign of the Beaver.  This will prepare us for our first Social Studies unit- Native Americans and Explorers.

Overall we had an extremely successful third day and I look forward to finishing the first week strong tomorrow!
