First day back and I forget to blog.  Sorry!

Today we started off our cold and snowy morning with the accelerated math placement assessment.  All students took this, but only some will be placed in accelerated math based on results.

After, we discussed and practiced dividing fractions by whole numbers.



Later in the afternoon, students had their first health lesson of the year.  Post health lesson we jumped back into writing our second body paragraph of our endangered animal research project.  Since this was left go for a few weeks, we did some rereading and researching yesterday to get our heads back into the game based on our animal.



Finally, we wrapped up the day with a look into main ideas and details.  We read a story about cougars and pulled out main ideas for paragraphs, sections and the entire story.  To support our main ideas we used explicit textual evidence and details to prove ourselves.

Math- Add, Subtract, Multiply Fractions Word Problems (BOTH sides)
Reading- PB p. 109
Voc/Spell- Spelling due 1/13; ben bene bon sentences due Friday
Other- Planner signed
